CONFERENCE OVERVIEW AND BACKGROUND

The Teaching and Learning Development Centre at Mangosuthu University of Technology is delighted to invite you to submit your abstracts for the Teaching with Technology Summit 2025, taking place on 27-28 March 2025 at the Hilton Hotel in Durban, South Africa. This significant event will bring together academics, academic developers, academic leaders, researchers, and technology experts from across the country and beyond, to explore how technology can be seamlessly integrated into teaching and learning for a more future-ready educational landscape.

With a focus on practical and cutting-edge approaches, the 2025 Summit will spotlight how innovations, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), are transforming learning environments, enhancing student engagement, and supporting educators in delivering more personalised and inclusive education. The aim is to foster meaningful discussions on how we can leverage technology to create accessible, sustainable, and adaptive learning experiences that meet the unique needs of students in today’s fast-changing world.

This event will showcase inspiring educational practices, groundbreaking research, and case studies that demonstrate how technology is reshaping higher education, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to thrive in an AI-driven future.

PRESENTATION FORMATS
We invite submissions that focus on implementation, hands-on experiences, and practical takeaways. The following presentation formats are designed to foster engagement and knowledge sharing:
• Paper Presentations (20-minute): Share actionable insights, implementation strategies, or case studies that provide clear, practical guidance.
• Workshops (40-minutes): Facilitate interactive, hands-on sessions that equip participants with tools, methods, or frameworks for applying educational technologies.
• Panel Discussions (40-minutes): Engage in conversations with experts around practical challenges and opportunities in implementing technology in education.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  • Abstracts should be no more than 300 words.
  • Include the title, author names, affiliations, and contact information.
  • Clearly specify the preferred presentation format (oral presentation, workshop, panel discussion, or poster).
  • Submissions must focus on practical, real-world implementation rather than theoretical concepts.
